Church Leaders The Minister An ordained man or woman who, after special training, has taken vows and been set apart for religious service of Word (Word of God) and sacrament The Elder One of a group of voluntary, ordained leaders - responsible, along with the minister, for the spiritual and practical aspects of local church life and for local church government The Guild Skilled and successful in fund-raising, the Guild is able to contribute to various charities and generously supports the work of the Church at home and abroad. Elder Kirk Session The Kirk Session consists of the Minister and Elders and is charged with the spiritual and pastoral supervision of the parish in general and the congregation in particular. Its responsibility includes organising public worship, the conduct of communion, education of both children and adults, the use of the Church building, overseeing Church organisations, keeping records and rolls and contact with members
Church Teams Ministry Team The purpose of the Ministry Team is to share the love of God with people within the parish and beyond through practical Christian Service. Discipleship Team The purpose of the Discipleship Team is to enable the people of God to become more like Jesus through the study of the Word, prayer, fellowship and service. Outreach Team The purpose of the Outreach Team is to reach the lost with the Good News of the Gospel. Fellowship Team The purpose of the Fellowship Team is to build up the church as a body through a systematic programme of events that encompass all. Worship Team The purpose of the Worship Team is to enable the people of God to express their love and devotion to the Father through song, music, prayer, drama, dance and the preaching of the Word.
